CamStudio – How to fix WaveoutGetSelectControl Failed in windows 7

1…Go to Control Panel switch to large icons.
2…Open sounds click recoding tab>right click>Show Disable Devices
3…Enable Stereo Mix and right click select properties. Select Speakers under Listen Tab Click ok >ok
4…Open Cam studio under Options >Audio options > Audio Options For Microphone. Select Stereo Mix in Audio Capture Device and the recording format set that to 44.1 khz Stereo 16-bit

1- Thanks a Million, it worked like a charm. I have disabled the built in Microphone to avoid picking up the surrounding sounds, I don’t know if that is the right thing to do or not.?
2- The video is going a bit fast, can hardly follow it up, had to pause/play to follow.

Q: In item # 4, why pick 44.1 khz Stereo 16-bit in CamStudio Microphone Audio option? Is it a must?
Wouldn’t that make the recorded file bigger?
